We were thrilled to have TV this year to watch the Olympics – we've come a long way from watching events on the lobby TV's at the hospital in Logan.  Anyways, the kids got into it too.  They loved watching the swimming, and we even had to call Zach Michael Phelps for a few days.  Saturday, Monday, and Tuesday were spent on the slip n' slide in olympic swimming events – run and slide, then touch the end, turn around, and crawl/swim back to the top.  And don't forget your goggles!  Thanks to our privacy fence and a really hot day, I did some slipping and sliding myself on Saturday with the kiddos – only to discover that 30 year olds are too old to slip n' slide.  I woke up Sunday feeling like I was 80 – my back hurt, my abs hurt, my arms hurt… but the kids gave me a bronze medal and I wouldn't trade my olympic experience for anything.

What a fun time. I’m sure you earned your bronze. I cannot believe how grown up Zach looks in that picture. CRAZY!! Hope you recovered, wish we all had one of those great whirl pool tubs the divers hang out in after they dive.

I love that you went down the slide too. Matt is always amazed as he watches the boys that they don’t have more injuries, and is thankful for little bodies that can take a beating.
