Emma woke up to a birthday  bike… which she seemed pretty excited about.  :)

She also had the good fortune of having spring break start on her birthday, so even though it was a Thursday it was early day – she chose to spend the afternoon at the zoo!  

We loved watching the primates eat right at the window, and Carter graciously let Emma ride the dolphin on the carousel as a birthday gift.  :)

Emma always likes to help make her own cake… and thank goodness, because the soccer cake is hard!

She got her own set of scriptures for the big birthday!

And after fondue for dinner, she had both sets of grandparents over for cake and ice cream… although we only got a picture of one set.  

She ended the night with lego building in her matching girl/doll pjs.  Happy birthday, 8 year old Emma!  We sure love you!
