I got to go with Zach's class to their end-of-the-year field trip to This is the Place Heritage Park, and it was so fun. It has been fun to get to know the kids in his class this year – it was a huge class, with 36 kids! (bless his poor, retiring teacher's heart!)
The field trip was full of all kinds of fun – I learned new things about mountain men and the early Deseret schools:
There was a dramatic necklace rescue:
The class was introduced to Red Rover (it was pretty funny to see the boys and girls start out refusing to hold one anothers' hands)
And they even got to pull handcarts (a long-time dream of mine!) Zach said it wasn't easy. :)
It will be fun to explore everything else there with the rest of the family this summer!
