We ran up there to walk around the monuments on a gorgeous fall night…

It was fun to learn more about the Pony Express (we have relatives that live on an old pony express station on my dad's side of the family so I have seen a few of these re-enactments in my day!)

We even spotted a deer!  

Too quickly it got dark and chilly but it was a fun night!
