My parents and siblings traditionally have breakfast up the canyon on Labor Day – and this is the first year we've been around to join them.  Good food, good hiking (the kids are always up for an adventure!), good times!

This was so much fun.  

I need to do it in baby steps.    This was the first day I stopped at the walk through (with the huge jogger that won't fit through) and the kiddos went the rest of the way on their own. Pathetic, I know… but don't count on me getting any better through the years.  :)

Tricky business when you're only 17 months old.  

We had to spend the last Friday before school started doing something awesome… so, we spent the day exploring in the Kaysville nature preserve (explorer backpacks and explorer notebooks not optional, as explained at the many "team meetings" the kids organized over the phone…)  and swimming at the cousins' pool.  It was the perfect day…

For our family vacation this year we decided to take a 2 day camping trip to Tony Grove in Logan canyon.  I wondered at our sanity when we first decided (it's been a while since we've camped somewhere other than our backyard and we've never done 2 nights!), and then wondered again getting everything ready…

Found our bathroom looking like this tonight after Zach had showered in it and loved it.  :) We are so grateful we were able to find a fall baseball team for Zach that is nearby and that he is enjoying it so much!

May all their dandelion wishes come true.  (I suspect one might be for an "AS SEEN ON TV" dream light…)
